Thriving. So much more than surviving. It's really living. It's forgiving. It's accepting then lettting go. I'm letting go.
— from the song Thriving by Vanessa Stevens of The Purple Song Project
Thanks for supporting our enlightening, empowering evenings about changing women's lives!
Thriver Spirit & Song events celebrate a growing community of women who are “thriving” (not merely surviving) after abuse and trauma in their lives.
With live music, positive energy and inspiring success stories, these events inspire everyone on a journey of self-discovery, heightened self-esteem and healing to permanently break the cycle of violence in their lives and create a new future for themselves and their children.
Thriver Spirit & Song events occur annually. Past events have included the May 5, 2012 appearance of actress Meredith Baxter, a Thriver Success Story in West Hartford, Connecticut! In her talk, Breaking Family Ties: Empowering Ourselves to Overcome Domestic Violence, Meredith offered her own inspiring story of courage, hope, self-acceptance and happiness.
While performing acclaimed roles on television including Family Ties and over fifty movies, Meredith has also faced domestic abuse, battled alcoholism and breast cancer, and started her own business while raising five children.
